Model Description

Protect and Serve is a Thin Blue Line inspired model. Unfortunately, like so many recent models the team a GoatGuns didn't take the time to think up a creative pitch for this model. They did however put some of the money from the sale of this model towards a good cause, donating $4,000.00 to the Thin Blue Line Foundation.

The Thin Blue Line Foundation exists to provide short-term financial support to officers in need, funding for training, college scholarships, kevlar vest funding, online resources that help equip law enforcement to manage the personal hardships of their role, spiritual support through Police Chaplaincy, support to fallen officer families, and crisis intervention assistance. The Thin Blue Line Foundation is committed to creating a groundswell of support from the silent majority for the men and women that represent the Thin Blue Line.

This model uses Dime as its base, and UV printing to make it what it special. Almost along the bottom edge of the slide on either side is a thin blue stripe. There isn't much canvas here, but below the blue line on the frame from the trigger to the front the parallel stripes continue down alternating between silver and black. On the grip panels and the frame around the grip are silver stars on a black background. The barrel, spring guide, hammer, slide lock, thumb safety, grip safety, trigger, magazine release, main spring housing, grip screws and base color of the stand are all black in color. On the either side of the stand is a tattered blue line running the full length, on the right side of this line from either side it reads in white lettering PROTECT and SERVE.

This model has a functional slide that will eject and chamber a round as well as pulling the hammer back. The trigger also functions releasing the hammer when the functional grip safety if squeezed. The thumb safety on this model is only partially operational, it will keep the slide from moving, but it will not prevent the trigger from releasing the hammer.
