Charky

Charky

Model Description

Charky is one of the original six GoatGun models from back when the company first launched, and one of their best-selling models. The diecast model is painted black and comes with about all the basic parts, arguing that the quad rail is an upgrade over the round handguard. It comes with a choice of flash hider or suppressor, a removeable magazine that can be loaded with the 3 brass dummy rounds included with the model, an adjustable rear iron sight, and adjustable AR Stock, as well as a black display stand. Being an AR model, it has the largest list of GoatGuns official parts available for modifying it to fit your style.

The earlier versions had GoatGuns on one side of the stand, while later ones just said GoatGuns and eventually the model ended up with just a simple, solid black stand. While most GoatGuns enjoyers know of the simple plain black version, there have at this point been three other Chaky variants released into the wild.

The original version of the model had the US Marine Corps logo, The Eagle, Globe, and Anchor, on the right side of the mag-well. This version is rare, Anothy stated in one of the GoatGuns official YouTube channel video that he thinks there was a licensing issue that prevented them from continuing the sale of this version. This does make sense since the symbol is Trademarked by the US Marine Corps. Before the symbol was removed, some were sold with a manufacturing mistake where the logo is upside down.

The second variant is probably the rearrest, In October 2022 Sarge was invited to attend a Marine Ball at the Marine Corps base in Mokapu Hawaii. The team brought with them 300 Charky models each with the base logo printed on the right side of the magazine well. One of each model was placed for each Marines assigned seat. As far as we know those 300 are all that exist, and the only way to get one was to be in attendance that night or be lucky enough to have one of those marines, gift or sell it to you.

The third variant was also limited to military, but these were only available to veterans. After GoatGuns reached out to various non-profits offering to donate their models to them and being rejected continually, they decided to distribute their own care packages. These packages included a paratrooper toy, a notepad and pen, a pair of socks with GoatGuns logo of the cross armed Sarge printed on them, and a Charky model. That Charky model was unique because of the Invasion Star printed on the right side of the magwell. An Invasion Star is an encircled solid five-point star that was on American armored units after a regulation issued in August 1942. It ordered a plain white five-pointed star, as the national symbol, it was seen in all theatres from 1943 and by 1944 was the most common national identification sign. To get these models you had to have been a US Military veteran that was recommended to Sarge by someone else. Though a couple did get out to the general population, a few got out as refurbished models, and in another instance, a couple lucky fans won some during Anthonys GoatGuns Live events.
